Most movie nights fail before the film starts, in the twenty minutes of browsing that eats the evening. This ElephTV Friday plan removes that part, and the film gets watched instead of shortlisted.
Choose Before Friday
Pick the film on Thursday, from the film rows or from the shortlist habit in the African movies guide. One chosen title beats a Friday debate every time, and the chooser can rotate weekly so nobody always decides.
Check the running time and the subtitle track when you choose, not when you press play. Both are on the film page, and both prevent the two most common mid film interruptions.
Settle the Room
Start ten minutes early. Open the film, settle subtitles in the first minute, set the volume for the room, and put phones face down. The first scene deserves a room that is ready for it.
Keep snacks inside the room before pressing play. A kitchen trip during the second act is a plot hole nobody needs.
After the Credits
Talk about the film for five minutes before anyone opens another app. A movie night that ends in conversation is a tradition; one that ends in scrolling is just a long video.
The film finding companion is Eleph TV African movies, and the family version is Eleph TV for families.
